Swarms of humanoid, vulture-like beasts herald the arrival of Daethen’s fleets and armies, feeding on corpses of the slain or ripping apart those they catch off-guard. There are many variant species of harpy, all thought to be the product of ancient experiments. They possess animal intelligence, and are treated much like hunting hounds by their Daeb masters.
