The Augean aurochs, sometimes called the cattle of the gods, can grow to titanic sizes on the steppe, surviving in a hostile environment thanks to a near-impenetrable hide some believe to be solid rock. Sacred to Umi, the cows are used for pulling, while the bulls’ temperament and horns make them an unstoppable force of nature in battle.
